Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the arson attacks on the three churches in Klang Valley were not well-planned and pointed to the work of emotional persons.

In the first incident, the ground floor of the three-storey Metro Tabernacle Church in Desa Melawati here was damaged.

Two similar attacks — on the Assumption Church in Jalan Templer and the Life Chapel Church in Section 17, Petaling Jaya — a few hours later were unsuccessful.

Musa said the modus operandi in the attacks were different, which could point to different attackers.

“They can even call me personally at 019-2823701,” he said at a press conference. So call him if need help.

The case was investigated under Section 436 of the Penal Code for arson.

Meanwhile, a priest at the Agape Revival Church in Pandan Indah, Ampang, was manhandled by four men who entered the church at 6.30pm.

The intruders proceeded to damage the microphone and tore down postersbefore they left.

Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed the incident and said it was being investigation under Section 506 of Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

In Kuala Selangor, an unidentified man walked into the Chapel Of Our Lady Of Good Health near Asam Jawa at 6pm and advised the caretaker to be wary before handing him a copy of the Quran.
