The Puduraya bus terminal will be closed for four months from March 19 to possibly July 19. The closure is to allow for works that would upgrade the terminal and provide more comfort to travellers.

Buses will operate from two separate depots.

The Hentian Duta, off Jalan Duta is for buses headed north while south-bound buses will be relocated to Jalan Galloway, near the police headquarters and near the Hang Tuah Monorail and Rapid KL stations.

There is only one scheduled bus route with access to Hentian Duta – RapidKL City Shuttle B115, Jalan Galloway bus terminal is accessible to the Hang Tuah LRT and monorail station.

The move will include all bus ticket counters as well as the picking and dropping off of passengers while the 33-year-old Puduraya undergoes its final stage of renovation and upgrading work that costs RM52 million.

The facelift planned for the bus terminal includes improving the waiting areas, setting up additional ticket counters on the first floor, building a food court on the rooftop, adding extra escalators, walkalators and elevators and replacing the exhaust fan system in the basement of the terminal.

Puduraya closure postponed
